The aquareefLED consists of 18 high-power Cree LED’s 3 watt each (7 x 3 watt blue and 11 x 3 watt 12,000 K) with a total power of app. 50 watt. The white and blue LED’s can be controlled separately in sections. We recommend using the sunrise controlas a programmable light control. The sunrise control with pulse width modulation complements the aquareefLED with 4 controllable light channels for white LED’s, blue LED’s, moonlight and cloud movement that makes natural lighting possible. Even a cycle for moon phase is taken into account.
The housing of the aquareefLED is made of black anodized saltwater resistant aluminium. The special construction with passive cooling makes it possible to operate the light without fans, making the unit very quiet.
